Parents,
If you have any students that have asthma, bee, or food allergies or any other health concerns, you may stop by the nurses office from 8:00 AM. – 3:00 PM. and pick up the Dr. orders and be informed of required paperwork to bring emergency medications, and sign them in to the nurse to keep here at school. This is for your child's safety. Medications must be signed in to the nurse and cannot be sent with any student! If a food allergy is the health concern, we must have a doctor’s statement to that effect in order for our staff to enforce this (Allergy may be specified also on doctors order sheet). Please make sure that your students are up to date on all immunizations, these will be checked in the near future and the clinics will be over booked. Thanks, NPE Nurses |
School will be back in session on Friday 08/31/12. See you then! |
These are just a few reminders for you for this week and next:
• This Thursday, August 30, is the last day to place Marble Slab orders. If we are out due to bad weather, we will adjust this. • No school on Monday, September 3. Happy Labor Day! • Tuesday, September 4, is our Independence Day! Beginning that morning, all LA4, Kindergarten, and First Grade students must walk unattended to their classrooms each day. • First Grade Progress Reports will go home next Tuesday, September 4, unless we are out for bad weather. Then it will be Wednesday. • Tuesday, September 4 is our Volunteer Training Night. All training will take place at 5:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room. We hope you can join us – we love our volunteers!! • Wednesday, September 5 is our first day for volunteers. When you come to volunteer, you must sign in at the office and receive a visitor’s badge. The cost for parents is $3.90 for school lunch. • On Friday, September 7, 1st Grade students who earned their Paw Power buttons for good behavior for at least 2 out of the first 3 weeks, will be allowed to wear a shirt of their choice with their khaki bottoms.
