WLE participated in a nation-wide contest for Renaissance Learning. Classrooms spent the day reading and testing on Accelerated Reader books. The goal for the nation was to exceed the number of tests taken last year on this day. (3,581.992 tests) At the end of the day, the number of tests taken nation-wide was 4,409,622.

WLE students took a grand total of 2270 tests!
