Mrs. Pat O'Bryan has been the librarian at VMS for 10 years. Her goals are to share her love for books and reading with students and to help them to become proficient and responisble users of information resources. An Activeboard and document camera are used regularly as instructional aids in the VMS library. Students aslo participate in many lessons by using the individual NEO units.

Students may check out two books at a time for two weeks. Fines of $.05 per day per book are charged for late books. Students are responsible for any lost or damaged books that they check out. Besides about 9,000 traditional books the VMS Library has some audio books that are on PLAYAWYS and some on CD's. Many reference books and magazines are available for in library use. Fourteen computers are also available in the library.
